Young Scientist Contacts

Letizia

Letizia I am a PhD student at AO Research Institute Davos, my project focuses on the establishment of a tissue culture cartilage defect model in a joint bioreactor system to test the efficacy of stimuli-sensitive nanocarriers on cartilage repair. As part of SSB+RM young scientist team we aim to organise activities dedicated to all young scientist in biomedical field in Switzerland, provide a platform for networking and collaboration.

Queralt

Queralt I am a PhD student at UniversitätsSpital Zürich, and my project aims at deciphering critical factors in the hematopoetic stem cell niche by developing 3D models in vitro and in vivo that allow the study of this complex microenvironment. Being part of the SSB+RM Young Scientists team means participating in exciting and engaging activities to meet new friends/collaborators/colleagues and learn about the state-of-the-art in the biomedical field in Switzerland.

Emma

Emma I am a 3rd year PhD student in the Cartilage Engineering+Regeneration Lab at ETH Zürich I work under the supervision of Prof. Marcy Zenobi-Wong on a project that aims to develop an injectable system to treat articular cartilage lesions. In my free time I love to ski and hike, and I try to travel as much as I can. Being part of the SSB+RM Young Scientists is a great chance to meet researchers and establish new collaborations.

Bruno

Bruno I am a materials science student from EPFL, finishing with my Master project at Empa Sankt-Gallen, under the supervision of Prof Manfred Heuberger. My project aims at developing transmission interferometric biosensors for label-free biochemistry assays. My motivation for being part of the YS @ SSB+RM is that they give a broad platform for interdisciplinary communication and collaboration amongst young researchers.
